ABIndex is home stock market indicator. ABIndex is calculated on the basis of the quotations of 9 most liquid types of stock, of the most capitalized companies of the Kyrgyz Republic. The idea of the index is evaluation of the events taking place on the stock market of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Since 1st March 2007 “AKIpress” information agency and BNC Finance Investment Company have announced new joint project of United Stock index promotion - “Aki-BNC Index” or shortly ABIndex.
The organizers think that the new stock index will become Kyrgyz Dow Jones. “Aki-BNC Index” will describe the situation on the stock market and provide impartial information for stock market participants and investors.
«AKI-BNC Index» will be enlightened on the following websites: http://business.akipress.org, www.bnc.kg and in “AKIpress Kyrgyz analytical magazine”.
There have been selected Board of Experts who included on the primary stage of the index calculation 9 national companies which satisfied the following factors:
- Large amount of stockholders
- Economical significance of a company in the economy of the country of in one of its sectors
- Interest to a company’s stock not only from the side of main stoskholders, but also from the side of portfolio investors
Calculation of «AKI-BNC Index» includes not only Kyrgyz Stock market quotations and transactions but also those of the other trade floors of the country.
According to the authors' opinion, this project will become an information source about the state of the stock market taking into account the increasing interest of population to this market. «AKI-BNC Index» will be updated on the daily basis and will be accompanied by the information about transactions and quotes of 3 stock markets, news, comments and other information included into calculation of the index.
