BRUSSELS, Nov 26 (Reuters) - The following are planned mergers under review by the European Commission and a brief guide to the EU merger process:
APPROVALS AND WITHDRAWALS:
-- Swiss financial services company Credit Suisse Group (CSGN.VX) and U.S. industrial services group General Electric Co (GE.N), through their jointly controlled private equity fund Global Infrastructure Partners and affiliated funds, acquire sole control of Gatwick Airport Ltd, owned by British airport management group BAA Airports Ltd [FERBA.UL] (approved Nov. 26)
NEW LISTINGS:
-- Germany's Suewag Energie AG, a gas and electricity supplier controlled by energy group RWE (RWEG.DE); German private equity investor Capiton AG; and insurer Gothaer Versicherungsbank VVaG [GVVVA.UL], acquire joint control of German electricity trader and supplier Ensys AG (notified Nov. 18/deadline Dec. 23)
-- U.S. electronics testing equipment maker Agilent Technologies Inc (A.N) acquires Varian Inc (VARI.O), a specialist in scientific instruments to measure biological and physical properties (notified Nov. 23/deadline Jan. 6)
