Kyrgyzstan sells state shareholdings of Severelectro and Kyrgyztelecom
KABAR, February 5. Kyrgyzstan sold out the state shareholdings of Severlectro and Kyrgyztelecom. Minister of State Properties Tursun Turdumambetov told it at a press conference at the "Kabar" News Agency.
According to him, the investment competitions were announced recently. The competition's terms meet interests of the country. "For example, the Chakan-GES, winner of the Severlectro, is obliged to invest 64 million dollars during 10 years. Besides, it should pay off the debts of Severelectro - 3 billion 630 million soms, improve financial and economic conditions of distributing companies, provide consumer with reliable energy supply and others.
The shareholding of Kyrgyztelecom is handed over to a consortium of juridical persons, which includes companies of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Cyprus. The consortium is obliged to maintain tariffs established by the government of Kyrgyzstan, carry out installation of telephones and others.
